Famore709 Curved Large Ring Scissors
This is only the third pair I have in use! These scissors remain sharp, but I often misplace them from one sewing machine to another. That explains the 3 pairs! I use them specifically for appliqué. I have no problem with the curved blade catching the bottom layer that I do not want cut. The scissors cut the closest without cutting the appliqué stitching. I cannot do without them, even if I mislay them! My first pair I have had for years, and they are still sharp.

Famore 709 Curved Fine/ Blunt Tip Large Ring Scissors (4 Inch)
I have had the Famore 709 Fine Tip Scissors for years. The large ring helps me grab them quickly, and they are precise in cutting. They cut close to the fabric with no shredded threads after the cut. They are the most used scissors at my embroidery machine. I liked them so much I bought the blunt tipped ones and am pleased that the blunt ends do not interfere with close cutting. I need both of these scissors, and am so happy I have them.
