Sew Much Fabric, Sew Little Time

Jim Suzio has been sewing for over 30 years, and originally learned to sew from trial and error, reading books, and watching videos. Jim is well-known for his exquisite embroidery skills and his movie star knock-off designs. He is an award winning artist, designer, digitizer and sewing instructor, and has taught all over the United States, Canada, and Australia for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff Sewing Machine Company. His work is featured in numerous books, magazines, and advertisements throughout the years. Jim has created knock-off versions of Halle Barry’s Oscar gown from 2002 (pictured) and Anne Hathaway’s dress from the 79th Annual Academy Awards.

On his website, Jim Suzio’s Sewing Studio offers a variety of educational packages for design training and videos for individuals interested in learning the art of sewing and embroidery. These educational packages cover fringe, boucle lace, bias tape, pockets, and more. For example, the Fringe Benefits Embroidery Design Series provides everything you’ll need to know to create designer fringes, trims, and matching tassels.

You can find Jim Suzio very soon, because he is teaching at the Original Sewing and Quilt Expo in Cleveland, Ohio on April 4, 5, and 6, 2019, as well as other locations and dates. A breakdown of the OSQE classes includes:
